Occasionally, I have noticed that there are 2 or 3 short recordings on my DVR. They are Dishnet promotion/information which I have never watched/recorded. Does Dish remotely operate DVR’s to put their promos (usually 1-2 minutes) on my hard drive? Any other possible explanations?

Dish puts those on your DVR, usually during the early morning hours.

Thank you for the information. Am I the only one who thinks this is an outrageous intrusion?

Been discussed, Dish does have the right to download them to you. If you don't want to view them, just delete them after they show up.

This complaint gets so overblown...I just don't get it. It's like a commercial - skip it....life is too short to get upset about this kind of stuff.

I believe the question has been answered.
