I have a Toshiba XF550U TV with 3 HDMI inputs that supports HDMI device control. When I had an HR20-700, XBox 360 and Sony BDP-S570 blu-ray player connected, the HDMI control (call Regza-Link on a Toshiba) worked well with the Sony blu-ray player.

I upgraded to the HR24-500 and it seems to disable the HDMI control with the Sony. If I unplug the HR24 HDMI cable, the Regza-Link works, if I connect the HR24, the Regza-Link is grayed out and does not work.

Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone had no interference with HDMI control?

Yes I have a complete Sony system and can not connect the HR24's HDMI cable to my amp. if I want my system to work correctly. Direct is aware of the HDMI problem but, I have no idea if or when a fix will be released.

Thanks for the reply. If the 24s are doing this now, hopefully that means that the boxes have the hw to implement CEC and we're just waiting for the software to catch up. :)
