I was the one who purchased the Reciever and Directv had no problem activating it as owned. I called in advance and had Directv send a new access card. It arrived today as well. Everything went smoothly. I did proactively request the access card division when I called to activate it.

Thanks.

Jason Pollard

I hope you have the protection plan :)

Yes. I have the protection plan and it has paid for itself many times over. All of my HR20's were orginally HR10-250's. Over the years, Directv has swapped them all out after they failed with owned HR20's.

Thanks.

That is one of the joys of owning equipment that people don't understand. I love owned stuff, and the PP makes it even better. :D

Umm... No it isn't.
You better double check twice.

All my equipment is classifed as leased.
I had to jump through a lot of hopes, to deactivate a D12 and hang on to it for testing purposes.

They actually did charge the non-return charge, because I didn't send it back in.

Earl,
Did you have DIRECTV before you joined our team? If so i bet they did not go in and move the leased to owned.
When i was hired in 07' all my receivers showed up as owned since the day i was installed. Every ERP I have had was also swapped to owned.

How does PP enhance having owned receivers (all mine are owned)?

Mike

Since it costs 2.4¢ to produce a penny, my 2¢ worth is really 4.8¢ worth.  That 4.8¢ is my own and not the 4.8¢ of DIRECTV, Dish, or anyone else for that matter.

They stay owned when they break :D

Really though, over the long term of several years, PP isn't worth it.
