R16 high-pitched whine?

Just activated a replacement R16. Is it common for these receivers to emit a high-pitched whine? Or is that just during start up?

It's VERY aggravating.

It's VERY aggravating.


Could be a bad fan bearing, HDD bearing, or bad power supply.

It's NOT a common occurence. I would call DirecTV and request a different unit.
