I got the HD Extra Pack free for a few months back in June. I don't watch it at all, so when I got my statement this morning, I figured I'd cancel it online.

It told me that if I cancel it, I must change my package. I have HD Extra + HDDVR for $79.99/month, with a $10 HD autopay credit. I realize that the package isn't offered anymore, but, that doesn't make sense that I'd have to change my package just because I want to drop HD Extra.

Is that really the case, or is the website messed up?

Same happened to me.

Just call a CSR. They can cancel it for you without changing your package.

BTW, HD Extra pack is free again for 3 months!

I've had the same issue.

It will take a CSR all of about 30 seconds to get it cancelled. It was a painless process.

If you have a grandfathered package, changes have to be made by a CSR
