OK, Need a Quick Refresher. I may be moving back to an old house i own which previously had D*. I will be taking my SWM3 with me. Now from the Dish to the Splitter point will be about 50 ft. Was there a certain distance the PI had to be from the splitter or was it there had to be a certain distance from the splitter to the dish? My plan is to put the PI with the splitter at the head end

That should work just fine as long as you use high quality cable such as RG6. Copper clad steel or full steel should be fine.

The PI need to be at least 15 feet from the LNB.
