How do I check if HR24 is using external Hard drive? I powered my External drive then I rebooted the HR24 receiver. I certainly remember seeing a screen saying formatting the external drive.

Is there anyway to check what is the real amount of space remaining in bytes? The reason I am asking is I recorded about 5 minutes of some SD program and my receiver is already showing down to 98% space. I connected a 2TB HDD. So not sure if it is really using the external hard drive.

Unplug it and reboot. If the show is still there, you arent using the external.

Once you know you are on the internal drive, record something. If you ever look at your PlayList and have just that one show you know that you are on your internal drive and not the external.
