Which satellite are the Joplin Missouri HD locals on ? Install happening Saturday 10-23. Just curious ..

Market: Joplin MO-Pittsburg KS

Receiver: DIRECTV HD Receiver - MPEG-4 Capable
Dish: KaKu Satellite Dish (example: Slimline)
Satellite Position: 099

Just so you know, it is a partial market. FOX and CBS from our market are holding out on D* for more money. They also wont grant any waivers so you might request for a AM-21 or a HR20 if you plan yo use an antenna for OTA recording. There are no signs of them coming to an agreement anytime soon.

That being said there might be a perk to this as well. Joplin is a MPEG 4 only market. That being said, if you need multiple receivers you could probably order SD even if you need a DVR as they would have to upgrade them to HD to be MPEG 4 capable and it would save you $100 for each DVR ordering SD. At least you could call and ask about it. It really depends on what you are being installed with. Welcome to D* I think you will like it alot. That being said, you may want to consider Sunday Ticket if you like NFL as you wont get any of the games on FOX and CBS otherwise.
