I have had my HR21-700 for 3 years. I moved in July to my g/f's house. One thing, when I moved, my signal doesn't seem to be quite as strong, I don't get as high of numbers on sat strength, but most are 80's and low 90's. They were all 90's at old apartment. Back in September there was a lightning strike across the street and I lost a network hub, a network card in a PC upstairs, but everything else seems ok. Since then, I have been getting some stuttering on my DVR. I have an H20-600 upstairs that seems to be fine. Oh, the new installation is a swm-3 I had the 5 LNB hd dish at my apartment. The DVR is plugged into the home network.

Do I need to have my DVR replaced?

I've asked about something similar to this in the receiver discussion section.
