Yeah I just heard that too on the raido. But it doesn't surprise me. I bet more people will come on Tuesday than today

I can understand why:

"We are really worried about after the game -- if all those people are buried in the snow in their cars in the parking lots around South Philly, that could be a big problem for hours and hours," said one city official who asked not to be identified.

If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

I was wondering if any of the games would be effected by the impending weather.

Wimps.

This is football, not golf.

FAITH: I find the lack of it disturbing.

Opinions are my own but should be those of all Americans, who would be much better off intellectually, psychologically, and emotionally if that were the case.

The players would be fine on the field...

The problem would be all the fans who would be trapped and unable to leave the stadium!

Exactly! This has nothing to do with the teams playing in the elements, it has to do with spectators and their safety. The ones who pay to see the team deserve to be able to attend, and to not have to get out in very dangerous conditions to do such.

And that's a bad thing?

My thoughts exactly! This is the risk you take for buying a ticket to an outside event in Philadelphia in December

There is another thread on this here.

I know this thread was started a few minutes earlier, but it seems the other thread is getting more traffic. Please continue in that thread instead.

the real reason is until friday night at 11pm all the weather forecasts have been for no major snowstorm that this storm would have been out to sea.

friday night 11pm the newscast changed their forecast and saturday said a major snow storm was expected. problem is who on xmas eve and xmas day saw this newscast? alot of workers are with their familes on xmas. last night and This AM people began to assemble the 400 trucks that will be used to plow philly free. They will need south philly to be traffic free inorder to do the job.

That is the main reason along with the fans after the game.
