I retrofited a SWM LNB on this dish before but was only able to pickup either 99 and 101 or 101 and 103. So that is why I got the correct bracket and LNB for this dish

Right, the spread between LNBs is greater for your location.

Try to add half-conus from alumiinum foil to left and right sides of a plastic cap what cover the triple feedhorn. Or try oval cone to the cap.

6 or so transponders with reading in the 40s on 103c, but nothing on ... 103b?

The Ka signal categories for the HR2X receivers should be 99s, 99c, 103s, 103ca, 103cb.

Anyhow thanks doctorj for the info. As I strongly suspect though the 110/119 AL/HI kit is essentially a nonintegrated discrete component equivalent of the AT-9 sidecar unit.

With the HR24-500 the selection I have picked is slimline 3 with multi switch
the transponders are 101, 99c,103ca, and 103b

I mean to make new [actually extend existing] feed horn with bigger entrance to collect signal from sides of your current triple LNBF (99/101/103) due different focal points' location for a reception of Ka sats.
It's for test to see if you could make 3xLNBF block works with the big reflector.

I think you owe me a new monitor now. Now that I've spit my throwback Pepsi all over it. That's the funniest thing I've read all day.

Extending the feedhorns with tin foil? Really? :icon_stup
