Dear DirecTV: This is becoming annoying

This isn't normal. Usually, just the HR models that receive the NRs are affected. This is the second time in a row that so many of my other models that didn't get updates rebooted at about the same time as the NRs came down. Odd.

everyone assuming it was software update, could have been a guide data error which affects all units.

Can someone confirm why the mass reboot?

Both my HR20-100's rebooted last night and I can confirm neither received a software update as that occurred last week.

My HR21 rebooted last night just after 3AM. did not check the software version but the date showed today's date. My other units did not appear to reboot. My HR21's remote response is S..L..O..W..... --agonizingly so.

My HR24-500 has had a weird light pattern a couple of times now in the last week. I don't know if it rebooted itself or not. I have rebooted it manually after I saw that pattern. I'm still on 0X452 but youtube works just fine. DTV officially posted it on there facebook tonight. I thought I needed the new software for youtube to work but guess not.

How can you tell if an HR24 rebooted? I know that the HR20-23 's have the blue LED's that light up, but what about the 24's? I have a 24-500 if that matters.

TV's:
Samsung HL-R5078W
Mitsubishi VS-50805
Vizio E371VA
Satellite Dish:
Slimline-3S(SWM)
Receivers:
2 HR24-500 0x6bd
H24-100 0x66d
H21-100 0x466d

You turn off the front panel display in the same manner. Then, if you have a reboot, the front panel comes back on and you know it's rebooted. You have to go to the System window to see if you received an update.

The suspicion is that the reboot was just to trigger the already loaded software to allow YouTube functionality.
DirecTV since '96, Waivers for ABC, CBS, NBC, & Fox, HR23-700 & HR24-500/AM21, using ethernet based MRV.

Last week my HR24-500 lost it's audio when the YouTube feature was enabled. Same thing happened again today. My HR24-500 lost audio. The only way to fix the issue was to reboot dvr via rbr.

Same thing happened again today. All audio lost, had to RBR to fix problem. Thee times this month.
