Just an FYI, my local ABC affiliate, WMUR channel 9 in Manchester NH, is now in HD. We have two ABC affiliates, WCVB Boston & WMUR. WCVB has been in HD for quite a while so I assumed that in an effort to save bandwidth D did not duplicate HD network channels in the same region. Back in December Hearst TV and D were in contract negitiation and there was news of them not reaching an agreement. Maybe having WMUR & other Hearst channels broadcast in HD this was part of the terms of the new agreement.

DirecTV probably can't provide both as one of them isn't in your DMA.
DirecTV since '96, Waivers for ABC, CBS, NBC, & Fox, HR23-700 & HR24-500/AM21, using ethernet based MRV.

It's about time WMUR is broadcast to us in HD. Now how long do you think it will take WMUR's news department to actually broadcast their news coverage in HD?

Also, as someone else said. We are still waiting for NHPTV to go HD.

As far as I'm concerned, it's not a big deal. I'm not a fan of network programming, WMUR or or NHPBS. I just brought to light the fact that D now has an HD signal for WMUR.

I think its different for PBS. Here they are a low power station but also do broadcast in HD. That being said CW is alot of times only digital as well and not HD. I am really suprised that D* does not have a HD version of CW or PBS.

You are resurrecting a topic that is a year and a half old, and you couldn't find this topic?
