I'm upgrading to HD finally and I've always done my own installs. I purchased a Slimline SL3 and installed it today and I just wanted to look at my signal readings and let me know if I should finish this myself, I don't have a signal meter and am just using the receiver readings as reference, or get a pro to finish the alignment. I live in Franklin WI a suburb of Milwaukee. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.
These are my current readings:

Set your receiver on 99c on any of the lower reading transponders. Peak the dish with that. If you find that you turn the elevation knob several clicks without the signal actually changing, then find the 1/2 way point on either side where it drops off and set it there, then do the same with the AZ knob. YOu are very close right now.

That's good to hear. So you think that the tilt is O.K.? Just try adjusting elevation and az?

Tilt appears perfect (both 99 and 103 are about the same).. Just work on the elevation and AZ and you should be great. Probably only about 1 or 2 marks off now on the wheels. Just use a transponder on 99 or 103 now, as they are narrower than 101.

Finally was able to get out and dither the dish this past weekend and was able to get all Sat signals to 95 or higher. I have to admit the new style mounting system was a little intimidating at first. But after setting up the dish and adjusting it I wish they had this type of set up the whole time. Very easy to fine tune.
