im hooking up reciver,r22 in garage and have a dish on roof,i used dishpointer but cant seem to get signal also cant get to guided setup either when i first start goes straight to signal strength. its a 3 lnb dish i live in area code 25705

Which "3 LNB" dish?
The phase III or the SL3?
The phase III centers on 110, while the SL3 centers on 101.

Press and hold the info button on the remote, should get you into the menu.

Once you determine which dish you have, make sure the mast is plumb and that the skew/tilt is set according to your location. Then set the elevation. Now you can aim it in azimuth, moving it slowly to allow the receiver or meter lock on.
