Is Cinemax going to be included in the HBO freeview next weekend 4/15-4/18? Usually it is but want to make sure. Looking through the guide there's some good movies on it I'd like to record. Thanks.

I'm also curious at what hours these things are usually turned on and off as well if anyone knows or has a educated guess. For the same purposes.

I missed the announcement about this Free preview and I don't see it on DirecTV's web site.

But to answer the other question, the previews normally start and end at 6AM. So Friday 6AM to Monday 6AM with the dates you listed.

EDIT -- The HBO Free Preview is on Dish. So forget my "normal" start/end times above. I'm not familiar with how Dish does their Free previews.

Mods -- you probably need to move this thread to Dish Programming instead of DirecTV programming.

Maybe E* has the freeview too, but it's also on D* next weekend.

OK, thanks. I threw my Inside Directv out awhile ago.

Both messages #6 and #7 indicate that this preview is only for HBO. The TV mail that I got from DirecTV earlier this week also just mentioned channels 501-509, which would be HBO only.

I guess we'll see what happens next weekend...

Would be strange if it was only HBO as in the past I believe all HBO freeviews included Cinemax. Plus according to the site listed above, FIOS is getting a freeview of both during the same weekend.

But I guess time will tell.

Well that's good, though I got a TV Mail today that only mentioned HBO freeview for channels 501-511. My gut is telling me that Cinemax will be included.

Your gut is right. Check the back of "Inside DirecTV" March/April.

Yea, not long after I posted about the HBO TV mail, the Cinemax TV mail showed up last night. Case closed I guess.
