A Comcast Corp. regional sports network will assume sports coverage for an NBC TV station in northern California, the first case of the cable company's sports content replacing a traditional sports report at an NBC broadcast affiliate.

Makes sense. Looks like Comcast actually knows how to make synergies work, unlike other media mergers (I'm looking at you AOL TW, who never merged their two ISP services)

This had been rumored for a while, the sports anchor had already moved to the news dept. Raj is still reporting for the NBC 11 OTA Giants games. There are also rumors NBC 11 reporters will start working with CSN Bay Area and their shows.
