External Hard Drive and recording

Just wondering about this, I am thinking about adding an external HD. I know you have to record what you are watching with the 211 HD. I don't think it's possible, but you record via OTA through the 211 and be able to watch a channel that is coming through Dish.

Yes you can, and vice versa. You can also record from both tuners while watching a recording.
