WTF? Umm, what? No, really?

****. I love this show and since I'm not familiar with the book(s), I never know what to expect.

I'm sure Directv can't wait to get their hands on your unit.

But Christ, Ned was the main reason I was watching (and the dwarf).

Still going to watch, obviously, but again WTF?

I was very surprised as well, also know nothing of the story line, been tempted to look it up online but haven't.

How far are they in the books? i.e. how many more seasons are they looking to do if they keep this pace?

It's been a few years since I read the first book, but if you guys are talking about what I think you're talking about, we're still in the first book. As Shaqdan said, expect the unexpected and also realize this isn't your normal fairy tale where the good guy always wins.

Compared to some of the other fantasy series out there where the authors just milk the franchise (cough, cough Robert Jordan cough, cough), this one is pretty short at 6 or 7 books. What's irking the readers is that he has gone a long time between book 4 and book 5. Book 4 was released in 2005, so six years later, the readers are getting pretty fed up. He kept a 2 year spacing between books 1 -3. However, it took 5 years between 3 and 4 and now we are at 6 for book 5. I just hope we don't have another Robert Jordan repeat and he actually finishes the series. However, I won't be rushing out to buy book 6 on hard back. It's a good series, but 5 and 6 years between books just ruins it.

Thanks,
Rich

I am almost finished with the books and haven't started watching the series yet, not until I finish the books, but I had the exact same response to Ned!

This is really a good story but they make you like a character and then they rip them away....

I love the tv series. But the books are way better. Im currently starting book three. Books one and tv were pretty much the same but book two and tv changed. They get to the same outcome but better story in book.

The north will remember!
