I know in past the -xxx meant manufacturers......who are the manufacuter(s) for the HR24D and which code means which ?

-xxx still denotes the manufacturer. Never heard of an HR24D though.

The "D" may be confusing my question....who are the HR24 manufacturers ?
In the past the below was posted but my question is specific to HR24....guess what are the -xxx #s for HR24 ?

Here's an updated list of manufactures for DIRECTV receivers:

-100 - Thomson/Technicolor (formerly RCA)
-200 - Samsung
-250 - TiVo (no longer active)
-300 - Pace (formerly Philips)
-400 - Hughes (no longer active)
-500 - Humax
-600 - LG
-700 - Pace
-800 - NEC
-900 - Non existent
