I apologize if this has been addressed. I searched but did not find it.

I just completed a receiver (HR20-100) exchange with D*. In troubleshooting a problem, D* support had me to remove a battery from remote and then re-insert it while holding down the "1" button. I suspect this reset something because now the 30 second skip forward button is more like a 30 second fast forward and not a skip.

Am I right? Anyone know how to re-instate the "skip" vs. the "fast-forward"?

Thanks for any assistance.

Hit Menu, Go to Smart Search and enter 30skip, it won't find any matches, but that's okay just select Done.
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

Brilliant! Thank You.

Is there a list of these golden nuggets around? Would love to see what other tricks I might be able to take advantage of.

THanks,

There's not a whole lot of those kinds of tricks, but this is a favorite of mine.

Thanks, I just got a new HR24 and I too wondered what happened to the skip.
Will this work on my new HR16?

You mean R16, an SD DVR?

That keyword will not work on an R16.
