I wonder if this is one of the things they "fixed" when they took the website down last week.


No, it's still $25. Those of us with DirecTV accounts can see this.

The $79 total is when you select their installation.




psunate, select the other connection kit for a self install and it's $25 + shipping.
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

Funny, with installation its 140 for me without its 79..

What do you mean other connction kit? I went to the link Steve provided earlier and there is only one kit with professional installation or self.

You can use this for $59.

Or call DirecTV and see what they want to charge you for it.

You may need a green-labeled splitter as well, if there isn't an open splitter port in your set-up you can attach this too.

I just called Dtv and got the kit free on a dvr upgrade, I had to pay 51 installation fee and agree to 2 more years. i was unhappy about that, so the CSR gave me free Sunday ticket.

Perhaps a difference between those who have "supported WHDS" and those who do not?

Some seem to promote the idea that supported WHDS customers are entitled to a free ICK at installation.
