My DVR has a red circle with a white line in it when I try to watch a show from a DVR in another room if someone else is watching a show from the same DVR. Is this normal??

Each DVR can only serve one remote receiver at at time, so once someone is watching a program via MRV from a host dvr, you cannot watch any other program from the same host dvr via mv

You can watch the same program on the host dvr that it's recorded on while being watched via mrv
