I haven't had Fox Soccer Plus for 2 years now and just can't justify it. I could when it was Setanta and they covered Rugby really well.

If you're such a huge football fan you'll be happy to learn that the NFL network is in HD 24/7.. ;)

Paying $15 per EPL match on PPV was absurd. FSP is a bargain compared to that.

I agree that $15 per is absurd....but that doesn't mean that FSP at their price is ACTUALLY a bargain.

It is still ridiculously over-priced for the content

This confirms my suspicion that FSP doesn't need to be $15 a month on DirecTV - but that they just decided to charge the same amount that Setanta has been cost. Are DirecTV gouging us?

If FSP was $5-6, or if FSC/FSP combo could be $8-12, I'd be in in a minute!

No, DirecTV is not gouging anyone. If FSP was in the Sports Pack, DirecTV would have to pay more to FOX than what it currently pays. I pay $19.99/month for FSP on my cable system.

My DVR is set to record all footy matches on the HD channel. It recorded the same Collingwood vs Hawthorn game twice (3/29 @ 3:00AM and 3/30 @ 3:30AM). Much to my surprise when I tried to watch this morning, the first recording was a soccer game that dropped in and out and the second recording was the D* logo for 5 1/2 hours.

I'm cancelling FSP as soon as my 30 days is over. $15 for hardly any HD games is bad enough, but not even getting the games they are supposed to broadcast is unacceptable.

Why is the UEFA Champions League game showing live on the SD channel, but on the HD channel I get "Press SELECT on Buy Now to watch UEFA Champions League Soccer for $5.99..."?????

Hey Barc.

Your post says 5:17 EDT. If you tuned after 5:00 EDT......

619 and 621 / 621-1 each showed a live match at 2:45 PM.

At 5:00, they reversed the games to show again.

Sadly, FS+HD gets turned off immediately after the live match.

Not sure why there was a "select" message, except that transponder is a PPV when not in use for FS+HD.

Edit: at 7:30PM EDT, a PPV movie is showing on 621-1. Sadly, it's Alvin and the Chipmunks!
