I have a fairly new Samsung 2T EHD that my 622 simply doesn't see. I had been moving programming around between several smaller EHDs and two of the Samsung 2Ts, but for some reason one of the Samsungs decided to go walkabout. It powers up and I can hear the drive spin up but it doesn't even try to mount on the DVR.

Plugged it into a Dell desktop (running XP) which doesn't see it either, not that I expected it to, but thought it might see it as an unformatted drive. I'm wondering if a drive repair utility like SpinRite or an alternative would do any good? I'd like to repair this drive without reformatting.

TIA,
Ron
