Also, BBC News, CNNi, AJE, Euronews English (without having to get international dish), other international news in English. If necessary, they could put it on an inexpensive tier (no more than $5).

+1 & it should lower our price at least $5 dollars if we choose not to get the sports programming

I'm all for it. At least it will lower the basic package costs.
AN OLD GEEZER WHO REMEMBERS THE DUMONT TELEVISION NETWORK AND IT'S TOP RATED "CAPTAIN VIDEO AND HIS VIDEO RANGERS", TV NEWS ANCHORMEN WEARING HATS DURING THE NEWSCAST, ONLY 180 SECONDS OF COMMERICALS EACH HALF HOUR, 3 STATIONS ON THE AIR WITH THEIR TEST PATTERNS AIRED FROM 2 TO 3PM, PROGRAMMING FROM 3PM TO 11:30 AND SIGNING OFF AT 11:30PM. HOW COULD I FORGET THE SINGLE FRAME VERTICAL ROLL WHEN THE STATIONS SWITCHED FROM NETWORK TO LOCAL OR LOCAL TO NETWORK AND THE TIME TONE ON THE HOUR.

Speaking of TiVo, now that the lawsuit is over and Dish is paying settlement fees and license fees for the '389 patent, I'd like our existing receivers to go back to using the "violating" software. I'm tired of erratic jumps and FF speeds that are nowhere close to what is indicated.

Agreed.

Done. Unfortunately that package is included in AT120 and above. :)

It would be an interesting concept ... since shopping and infomercial channels pay for carriage (or at least offer some sort of commission based return) wouldn't dropping the shopping channels increase one's bill? Would one pay more to not have those channels available?

Got it working. Needed a old-style Three Finger salute (Ctrl+Alt+Del) or in this case - unplug and replug. I can see recordings and the receiver thru Sling. Figured out that it works on Firefox and IE.

If customers did not want ESPN and Fox Sports, the credit today would be about $9.00 a month. And ESPN wants a 60% increase now......

Sports programming is over saturated now. But I'm happy to let anyone that wants it pay for it. The free ride on others supported over prices programming needs to stop.

Useful information. I'll check it out. I've had several universal learning remotes in the past and never really cared for any of them.

Disney Channels in HD, please. My family would be willing to pay an extra fee for them. It would be nice if we had the option to do so.

I think that we should have the right to have ESPN and other channels like it in a packege by it self, and have the right to have locals channels, if it is in there market or not, it should be our choice.
