What receivers are compatible with the External Hard Drive on a 722K? How large of a drive is supported?

Thanks,

Lou

All HD dish HD DVR's use the same EHD protocols - 612/622/722/722k/922. This is an archiving function for this series.

The ViP211/211k/411 is not a DVR and therefore the EHD that runs on it converts it to a DVR and is the only HD series receiver not compatible with the 722 DVR archiving.

NONE of the Dish Network SD DVRs can use an EHD of any type (USB port either too slow or non-existant).

The 722 DVR series can use up to a 2 TB self-powered EHD, bus power may work in a very few instances but is neither recommended nor guaranteed to work in the future.
