I would rather them bring back Sirius/XM. I used that so much more than I ever have SonicTap.
I have been a DirecTV subscriber since 2005.

A few channels I'd still like to see DirecTV add are:
CSPAN3, the PAC-12 Network(s), BBC World and more international news channels.

My wife and I are big music fans and have subs for SiriusXM in both our cars. We really miss it on DirecTV, since we could play it through our AV receiver and whole house audio. While Sonic Tap is better than Music Choice (which I have to listen to at work), it is a weak impersonation of SiriusXM. Perhaps Directv can drop the former music channels from viacom and use the money towards actual original music programming provided by SiriusXM!

I hope not either (the return of Sirius/XM to DirecTV).

Sirius/XM constantly comes up with ways to prevent people from canceling although I've been trying for over a year now.

Their latest bright idea was to reactivate the radio in my car for 2 weeks for FREE "to remind me what I was missing" and then give me 6 months for $25. For $4.80 a month (including fees and taxes) it's better than FM-but not much.

Today while heading out to the super market I was listening to the constant blabbing after every song wishing I could take my DirecTV DMX (Sonic Tap) with me in the car but no such luck.

I hope DirecTV NEVER drops DMX. In fact, as I type this I'm listening to the Sixties channel (ch 803) and it's GREAT! All big hits and NO BLABBING!

I take the XM 60's channel, with the blabbing, that is what makes the channel authentic. I don't care for the bland Sonic Tap 60's. :nono2:

I voted NO, I don't like the mindless drivel of the DJs... :nono2:

Pandora has better sound quality than Sirus/XM or SonicTap on D*, even more so when played through a Mac via optical to my A/V system...

If D* wants music channels, I would rather have SirusXM back. But I could just as easily do without any music channels on my TV.

SonicTap and Music Choice are about the same as far as quality goes! (Just good music w/o the talking BS)

Does anyone even listen to the current music channels with Pandora, etc being available? D* has the worst music available.

I've been a subscriber of XM since it debuted in 2001. The quality has progressed downhill since the merger with Sirius as there is too much chatter on the music stations. In the early days, the chatter is minimal.

The two most talked about music stations for TV, Sonic Tap and Music Choice, have virtually no talk, they just play the music. That is what I would prefer.

I left XM shortly after it was Siriusly ruined. Unfortunately Music Choice seems to be lacking respectable bass so I just don't use it. Pandora is my radio now.

People tend to enjoy banter between songs when they are in driving in a car. When I am at home, I just want music, nothing else. I wouldn't want XM again . . for people to whom it is important, just switch to Dish Network. DTV is never going to go back to XM/Sirius.

+1.

Also, if you are listening to a song in your house on XM you can then get it your car and you are continuing to hear it in your car if you are tuned into the same XM Station.

Very Cool!!! :hurah:
