You do know the people who work in the VPs office are just as clueless. They just have been on the job longer.

Yesterday I did get a call back from someone in the VP of CS's office. She said that they did not have capacity to air the Rangers vs Tigers game and that is why it was not on for D* customers. I took it as semi BS and more so that someone wasnt really aware and didnt make sure room was available to air that game. I doubt an executive decision was made to skip the best pitcher in baseball against the best team in baseball right now.

Was the game OTA or on an RSN? If the former, I can see their reason being legit (although a lack of planning for rainouts, etc, would still be indicated). They need to allocate both uplink and downlink for OTA that they may have committed to something else (even PPV as those were already in the guide). That they could plan for. Have a pipeline ready for those situations. Or they just decide they are not worth it.

If it is an fulltime RSN, then there is no capacity issue at all. The uplink already exists. The bandwidth is already dedicated as are the channel numbers. All good to go.

An alternate RSN would be much like OTA.

It was on FS Detroit and for us in Dallas on KTXA 21 (available via LiL). The guide never updated for the makeup game. However, they usually carry KTXA 21 games on EI, which are Friday nights.
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

KXTA21 is 675-1 for us that are not in that local market. It is a part time FSN that I do not know if it is open other then the normal Friday night games. That was my entire point on all of this when calling. I can not believe that some retard thought this game was not important enough to make the needed changes to get it aired. It was Verlander vs the Rangers. Either no one realized what was going on to make the decision or something. I do not believe that they would just pass on this game. They also had to get numerous complaints about it from people in the Rangers home market that are not in a DMA that gets TXA21.

Yup. Tuesday and Friday nights for those who have EI or Sports Pack. It's like NFL Redzone but for baseball. :)

Blacked out here in Philly even with EI. Gawd, I hate Comcast.

it is still there, you press the red button and all scores for whatever sport pop up.

And this is supposed to happen while I'm watching a game via MLBEI? It's not working here, I'm using a HR20-700 if that matters.

You should be getting the channel. Contact DirecTV.

It may have happened in the past but I don't ever recall seeing the Dodgers on KCAL. It's really too bad as there is about 50 games per season on KCAL, games that we have to rely on the other team's feed in order to see the game at all.

I do expect that will change with the new TV contract, hopefully to the benefit of MLBEI subs.

MLB teams should have their local games on local TV, though i don't really think it matters to most sports fans.

Kind of annoyed Phillies vs DBacks isn't on the schedule this afternoon. I know its not even being telecast by the DBacks network.

I can't seem to find this issue I'm having in this thread...

Last night I was not able to see any MLB Extra Innings game on the HD channels only on SD channels. The mix channel was in HD and was showing games in HD but when I went to one of those games all I see is a Directv logo.
This also happens on the weekend and I have called. Last time they said it was a programming issue. Resetting the receiver did nothing.
My other HD channels are working fine.

Restart your receiver. When I had something similar happen a couple of years ago, a reboot took care of the problem.

It looks like today's game is one of four that are not broadcast on TV at all for the DBacks, all of them in the month of April. Seems odd in today's sports TV environment.

And it looks like the Phillies are on TCN?

It really sucks today. Once the Astros/Brewers and Cardinals/Cubs games are over the only one left is White Sox/As....and the only broadcast option is the White Sox. So, no more baseball until at least 6:30 for me.
