MLB.tv has it's own issues. It works fine on a laptop, but on Roku and Panasonic tv's they kinda suck. Takes too much effort and time to switch between games and does not have the same FF, Rew, etc., as on the laptop. And I have no problem with Netflix or any other streaming except for MLB.tv. It buffers all the time, irritating!

I'm going back to MLBEI next year!

Agreed

I've had both for years.

Depending on Needs and Lifestyle, viewing habits usually determines which suits the particular customers best.

If the Main Concern is watching on a Large Screen at home EI is vastly superior

What, I hope for when the next contracts are negotiated is that there will be an option that one price will allow you to access both like the NBA does.

I have it on my Logitech Revue and my XBox 360, and both are good and easy to use. The Revue is directly off the MLB-TV web site, same as using it on a PC, which is a lot slower in switching between games than on my XBox 360, which is quicker than the Revue (PC) version. Plus I like the availability to watch 2 games at a time on the XBox 360 and up to 4 on the Revue.

I was referring to the difference in price structure between the two. Plus the features, things like viewing archived games and game stats, are better with MLB-TV.

Those features, plus the fact that I have more viewing options, and it is half the price of EI, are what made me switch from EI to MLB.TV two years ago.

The only thing I prefer about EI is the fact that it is on the same receiver/DVR as the other channels so it does make it easier for me to switch between EI games and other programming. Plus the game mix channel allows for quick access to a game.

With MLB.TV through my PS3 on my TV I have to switch the input on my TV and the audio input on my AV Receiver every time I want to switch between another program and an MLB.TV game.

With the Revue box I can switch between DirecTV and the Revue using the Revue keyboard, but when I switch back to the MLB-TV it is on the game selection screen, not the game I was watching, and I have to reload the game all over.

When I bring up the page for MLBEI it shows the $34.99 as a partial payment with $139.96 being the 1 payment option, 4 times $34.99 is $139.96. So, 4 months at $34.99 or a single payment of $139.96 for the rest of the season.

I would wait until after the All Star game to see if it drops some, $140 seems very high for just a half season of play.

but that be about an 80 dollar difference between what i paid in march vs what i would have to pay now.

i noticed with alot of the sports subs that when they do there half time offer its not half of what the full price is.

to me the best savings are getting it when the early bird is being offered before the season begins for your sports sub.

if you can get any other discount by calling directv that's icing on the cake.

usually the way i do it for the 4 sports packs i get which is in my signature.

NFL and MLB i usually get both usually last week of february. i do choose the 1 payment option for each, so bam 2 sports completly paid.

NHL i do first week of september NBA first week of October and both I pay in full that way bam its done.

so March through august and Nov - Jan i dont have worry about paying for sports subs.

mlb.tv has a half season offer for 79 which would be alot cheaper considering theres about 80 days left in mlb season

There is a free preview when the games start again after the All-Star break. Usually there is a half season deal at the same time.

It looks like that is the per payment rate, as underneath it is the one time payment, which looks like it is for the half season rate.

So Prime Ticket 693 is blacked out for some reason. Dodgers/Giants with no Vin Scully.... one of the few away series he does the games. Not that I mind the Giants feed, but I'd like to hear Scully while I can.

I know, I'm a Giants fan and prefer Kruk& Kuip but have to settle for Vin. Not complaining, but love their commentary. Funny guys.

Why on earth would Prime Ticket be blacked out in San Diego? Isn't that the Dodgers market?

When ever that happens, when it shouldn't, go to the receiver reset page and reset your receiver. I have cured that problem a few times by doing that.

I live in northern Virginia and PT was blacked out for me too. Just DTV glitchiness I assume.

Isn't San Diego Padres territory? How could it be Dodgers territory too?

I live in LA and the Phillies-Rockies game is blacked out. Seems bizarre to me.
