He also used the smiley band at the 'Fox Sports Prime Ticket moving to 693' thread. Which led to the Padres in HD.

He used the smiley band on 1-24-12. Far as I can tell, this was to presage the HD-UI update which added Pandora, not more HD. Of course, what he means by it this time is anybody's guess.

hmmm, I was thinking he used the smiley band during the run up to the AMC-HD launch, but maybe not. Either way, I wasn't expecting any HD action after the Tru launch until maybe the fall, so this is an intriguing surprise.

ps - y'all like my new avatar? I chose it after going through 35 pages of posts in the Tribune thread ;)

Historical note --that movie was an unauthorized rip-off of Robert A. Heinlein's novel _The Puppet Masters_. Heinlein sued and won.

Anything except BBCA or TCM. :)
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

Yeah... I was just replying to vobguy about SciFi. :)

What's "SciFi"? I think you mean SyFy ™

Nope! I meant SciFi...

Doctor Who never aired on Syfy to my knowledge... just SciFi! ;)

BTW, "Happy Birthday!" :)

Anyhoo, With the MTN part time HD soon to be gone with the wind, there may be a new opening, like FOX Soccer Plus full time HD.

I've counted the strum/beats of the icon band and they are clocking a rate of 264 per minute, total. That can only mean one thing - BBCAHD.

My God but this thread reminds of the discussion regarding a shoe from "The Life of Brian." But...now that I think of it, "Life of Brian" has played on the BBC, in SD no less, so perhaps SatRacer is tying to tell us the next HiDef channel will be....Wait, I think I hear an evil, demonic laugh...

For those who don't believe Satelliteracer's band set means he's forming a band in his parents' basement, it should be pointed out that his nonverbal post response directly followed at least three posts on BBCA HD and Doctor Who.

Personally, I only hope that if Satracer is forming a garage band it's closer to The New York Dolls or The Ramones than to Journey or Foreigner.

Of course, his post could also be an obscure reference to Randy Shilts influential work And the Band Played On, but he would really need to explain the connection.
