That driveby person should provide some visual proof I would think.

Is his information true or false though?

Well that settles that.

Good enough for me. :)

It does? It could be yes and SR can't say. Or it is not true and he can't say.

Basically it just says he can't say.

If that were the case, I don't think he'd respond to my post at all. But if there were test channels, I'd think they would show up in the maps.

It does?

For me it does. Based on SR's earlier post confirming E!-HD coming this week and his subsequent response saying he'd like to see pictures and the lack of test channels on transponders monitored by Sixto and GCT and PSmith I see this as saying E! is coming this week but that's it.

I don't know. Probably not true but I found SRs post to be odd. If it weren't true, I'd think it would be easy to deny. We will see. Part of the fun.

Exactly. Maybe those channels will be in next month's/next quarter's HD channel releases (or whenever the next HD channels come out)?

I don't think you will see the Military Channel in HD, because Discovery doesn't offer it in HD yet. As for TCM 2, there is no such thing in the USA and the channel offered in Britain is nothing more than a time shifted version of TCM that airs nightly from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am and there is no HD feed of it either.

DIRECTV
DIRECTV AU9-SL3 dish, SWM 16, HR44-700, HR24-100 2TB external HDD, HR24--200 1TB external HDD, HR24-200 1TB external HDD, HR21-700 receivers 2TB interal HDD, DECA Networked

C-BAND

7.5' SAMI C-Band dish, Chaparral Dual C feed, Norsat 8115C-Band LNB's, GEOSat Pro MicroHD, GBox V3000 Positioner

Too bad they are moving the launch to Friday... As "The Soup" is the only remaining SD show I watch, and it airs on Wednesdays, I thought this was going to be my first all HD tv week... Now it looks like I'll have to wait until next week!

E You can't be serious! Nobody watches that trash. Where is TCM in HD? You guys are so behind, when it comes to other providers.

There are enough "it's trash" posts here. I don't watch E! either but glad to see it for those that do watch it.

Same for AMCHD. Rarely watch it but it sure was nice to see that HD feed lit as it had a big effect on a couple of threads . Naysayers disappeared in bunches.

Awesome! I've never seen the Octomom, John Stamos, or Lisa Rinna in HD!

Seriously, I am happy to see anything added to the HD line-up. At least I know they are still actively working on adding channels. I refuse to add any SD channels to my Favorites list.

That is the same way I feel. I watch 0 shows on E! and only one on TruHD that was added last month, but I am sure there are some folks that watch it all the time, and good for them. Maybe they will decide to add BBC America and H2 before long.

The OP did not say 'Miltary Channel', rather MILITARY HISTORY HD ON 9270.

Military Channel is Discovery

Military History is an A&E Network.

D* Seems to have a good relationship with A&E networks. I believe they launched the History Channel in HD as the first major carrier as well as Crime and Investigation HD.

D* would probably mainly be interested in History 2 HD, but I could see them picking up Military History if the deal is good.

According to the ratings for 2011, that seems to be incorrect. According to the list posted on the first page, in prime time, more people watch E! than Net Geo, Animal Planet and Travel Channel among others.

Obviously you don't watch "The Soup." It's an absolute great show precisely BECAUSE it makes fun of all the trashy shows on cable!
