- Even if there are 3 obviously it doesnt mean the game we want to see most is 1 of them.

Especially if you aren't interested in the NFC East or a few other teams that are heavily exposed.

Last year D* gave us the end of Sunday Ticket free as our loyalty gift. Great gift I thought :) However, it still shows that loyalty gift on our bill with no charge, of course. However, since this was just a "gift" will we have to cancel ST for this year?

Sorry :o it had been on our bill, but D* did indeed remove it. I wouldn't mind getting it again as a loyalty gift, but since we had Game Lounge and dropped it I'm sure that will be our loyalty gift this year :(

NFL Sunday Ticket must not be "Auto Renewing" anymore. I have had the NFL Sunday Ticket since 1997 and every year on the channel that NFL Sunday Ticket would be on where you could "Order With Your Remote" I have noticed that it is saying on my TV on Channel 114 "To order this program now, text ORDER to 223322, Go to DIRECTV.com/PPV or call 1-800-531-5000 Extension 732. So I guess they are not auto renewing the package anymore? Is this correct?

What I meant to say was every year since I was already a subscriber the previous season, whenever the channel would pop up around August to order with the remote control, My screen would just have a message on it saying that I was approved for that program or something along that line. Now it's saying that I have to call in to order it. Are they doing this for everyone where we have to re-order it to get NFL Sunday Ticket?

You don't have to do anything if you had it last year it will renew like normal. The auto renew hasn't happened yet so you're currently not authorized. Once it does you will be unless you wanted to pay for it before the season started and you could call in now and add the level you want.

Very true.

However, it will be interesting to see how that works this year, as there are now 2 types of NFL ST service. I would suspect it will default to the higher price option, which some folks will want and others not so much.

The ability to sign up is already our there on the DirecTV site under anyone's account - under Programming - Sports. Both prices are avaiable for chosing there.

They already started, with my April invoice, billing me in installments for 2012 NFLST.

FAITH: I find the lack of it disturbing.

Opinions are my own but should be those of all Americans, who would be much better off intellectually, psychologically, and emotionally if that were the case.

I started seeing the $0.00 entries for NFL ST and NHL CI, but they haven't started billing yet. Is that what you were referring to?

I had ST this past season along with the on the go service. When I called last week to change some other programming, I asked about the ST and if it would auto renew. He said he didn't see it on my account anymore so it wouldn't. So it sounds like they are taking it off for some of us and we will have to re-add it if we still want it.

What was your renewal price?

$39.99 on the first installment. As it reads on my invoice:

Truthfully, it's difficult to tell whether that renewal is for the lower tier package or the higher tier one. After the charge appeared on my April 9th bill, I went online (actually, I did so a few days ago), and selected the lower tier package. There was a box to check next to the package I wanted.

I haven't been charged anything for NFLST (as of April) but it's listed on the bill with a $0 charge, so I guess I'm up for auto renewal. But when I look at "My Sports" on my "Account Overview" online, it lists NFLST with a price of $334.95 in one payment. I have no idea where they got that price since when I click on the link for NFLST where it's listed on my account it gives me the two options to renew at either $200 or $300. Confusing.

When I look under the "My Sports" tab on my account, I see both packages. And on my last bill, it showed as $0.00, so I'm not sure which one they will bill me for. Especially since it says "Renewal in 6 payyments" and both options are 5 payments.

I wonder what the deals for long time subscribers will be this year. Last year I was decently happy with a deal that gave me Sunday ticket for around $150 (including to-go). I just noticed this deal on the DirecTV website - pretty major. I know I plan on using it as leverage to get a better deal. I have been a subscriber forever... Sunday Ticket and Sports Package every year along with Choice Extra.

They are giving Sunday Ticket for free if you subscribe new along with all sorts of other goodies.

$39.99/month (1 year - Choice Extra)
FREE HBO/Starz/Cinemax/Showtime - 3 months
FREE HD DVR + 3 HD receivers
HD Included
2012 Sunday Ticket - FREE

They have this offer every year. Although since they now have 2 NFL ST packages, you only get the $199 package with the games for free. You don't get the Max package with Red Zone on the freebee.

The 6 payments is for 2011.

True, but why did that just start showing up again on my 4/12 bill?
