I called Time Warner, and they said it will be on channel 345, and it won't be available in HD. They weren't sure if it would be HD on the west coast, but it will not be HD in Cincinnati.

So they are getting the national network and streaming for all else.

Yeah that actually works great that way..... but not really for sports bars. I bet though that TV Anywhere is part of this deal that they are trying to sign.

All TWC markets in the west will carry the REGIONAL channel in HD and the MAIN channel in HD. (So 2x HD)

Hawaii will carry the MAIN network in HD, and ALL Regionals in SD.

Time Warner Cable to carry Pac-12 Network starting Wednesday; nothing new on Longhorn Network distribution.

Yikes:

Odds on each company signing a deal to get Longhorn Network by 9/30/2012.

DirecTV = 4%
Time Warner = 0.04%
Dish Network = 0.002%

So that's a 1 in 25 chance that DirecTV will get it by Sept. 30.
And these are probably realistic odds.

In fact, when does Longhorn Network (ESPN) cave in?
They almost have to cave in at some point (and soon you would think).
They won't last with just Grande as their distribution, lol.

I think your over estimating. I doubt there is more than a .00000001 chance of any of them picking up that channel. ;)

And the LHN was the reason why Texas did not want to go West for Pac-16

Actually if you want to consider all of the TWC west region systems that would include Texas which will have the SD version PAC12 national on the sports pass statewide except in a very small amount of systems. PAC12 National HD will be added in Dallas(metro), Austin(metro), Waco, Temple, Killeen, and San Antonio (Metro) in Texas.

Texas still gets paid bu ESPB even though no one can watch the channel.

Longhorn Network's problem is that it's content is lacking, football games are against third tier teams, etc. That's the driving force.

WHY does Directv have higher odds under your scenario than the local cable company? it seems like it would be the other way around. Directv is NOT going to add this channel.

So is the Pac12 channels games. Week 1 is a joke...

Looking at the schedule... WOW!!!! There's some big games that 1st week on the network! We might actually miss Northern Colorado at Utah? Oh no!!!!! ;) Then, you tell me I won't see the powerhouse ;) of San Jose State at Stanford, Nevada at California, the mighty ;) Nicholls St. at Oregon St., or the perennial power San Diego State at Washington??

Those games are HUUUUUUUUGE!!!!!!!!!!

If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

One week a channel does not make. LHN's best week is worse than PAC 12's worst.

Saying some of the games the first week on the Pac 12 are a joke, isn't really fair. The SJ State/Stanford game has been played as long as I can remember. SJSU has come on a few times and beat Stanford and overall SJSU is a program on the upswing with a fair amount of money being poured into their athletics programs. The Cal/Nevada game will be the re-opening of Memorial Stadium on the Cal Campus after being totally rebuilt over the last 18 months. A lot of "old blues" will be watching this game to see how the new stadium looks. I know I can't wait to see how it looks, the stadium basically hadn't been touched since the 1920's.

Here is a difference, P12N actually has worthwhile games going forward, Because the p-12 Negotiated and got some good selections, which is why they are having a much easier time getting carriage then what would normally expect.

And while you think SJ State/Stanford, Nevada/Cal, SDSU/Washington are jokes, the MWC conference is actually fairly respectable outside of the AQ conferences.

And Seriously? Using first week football schedule to determine what is going to be on the network? Most teams schedule lesser tier opponents at the start of the year.

Week 2 we have Arizona vs Oklahoma State on the P12 Network. We will have to wait for a long time to see the LHN even have the quality of opponent such as the Cowboys appear on LHN

Week 2 also has two pac-12 schools going against schools from other AQ conferences

One game I wouldn't mind seeing is OK State @ Arizona on Sept. 8th.

Wonder if Rodriguez will be able to get Arizona going this year. OK State will be a tough game even with a new freshman quarterback and sans new NFLers QB Brandon Weedon (Browns) and WR Justin Blackmon (Jaguars).

I think he's talking auto the all the markets in the west that are in a pac12 market. Texas really isn't out west, it's in the middle. I wonder if the Hi Definition vs sd is partially being driven by the capabilities of the areas cable setup, since they will get it in Hi Definition in the bigger cities, and not the less populated areas.
