So what you're doing is blaming the OP while you're trolling. Got it.

"Belligerent and numerous."

Sometimes I update the Dish Network FAQ

AT200, Hopper & 360 via HDMI to Onkyo 505 to basement 42" Westy, Hopper via Comp-over-Cat5 to living room 42" Vizio with a Roku 3, Joey to Toshiba 32" LCD with a Logitech Revue. You want fries with that? Pull up to the 2nd window.

After posting on this thread no DIRT rep chimed in with a offer to help.

Look at the timeframes. The DIRT team's not online yet. They work days, not overnight. Now, disengage your trolling motor and bemoan your provider's losses at ACSI...

I am surprised to see the two camps going at each other. Do not want to fuel it but, I should have added that the installer did leave his supervisor's contact number so that I can reach him directly next week to see what can be done to get the issues resolved. Maybe I will still contact him and let him know what solved my issue so that they can help other customer with such issues in the future.

The main thing I want to stress is that I am glad I came to the right forum asking for help and I sure got it. Thanks again everyone for all the suggestions.

Really? I am surprised there wasnt more :)

I would too...Share the wealth. I know I would appreciate a customer letting me know they found a resolution to a problem I couldnt fix (pun intended).

Enjoy your system.

They should sticky the solution.

 It's funny that Dish subs can freely call out trolling, but the constant trolling in DirecTV topics continues & isn't allowed to be called out.
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

Reminds me of the Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge arguments when I was in high school :)

But I have a HEMI. We all have hemi's, you just have the one from the company that trademarked the name. No, I have a VORTEC. It got pretty heated sometimes. I didnt care as long as what I was driving got me to the partys.

Advertising BS is all it is. Most all engines use a hemispherical design.

:icon_cry: Get over it. Its common sence!.
The OP was mearly getting coached . Now he knows for Next time.

Again to the OP glad it worked out , its unfortunate that there are some techs out there that don't give a crap. Just next time you know, don't sign anything or let him walk out the door untill your 100% happy with the install.

But if it does happen anyway, you know this place will get you the answers.

Enjoy your New service!:)

OK, the OP is happy ... the DISH subs are happy.
It seems that the only people who are unhappy subscribe to DirecTV. :)

I'm glad to see DBSTalk members could come to the aid of a fellow subscriber.
That's why were here!

Not all true. Hemi was invented in the 50's maybe even the 40's by Chrysler. The Hemi was i Believe the design of the Intake which was not practiced by anyone back then but MOPAR.

GM's Vortech only started in 1996 when the GM 4.3, 5.0, 5.7 and 7.4 engines went from Single point TBI to Multiport Fuel injection.

ONLY since the 2000's is the HEMI name ONLY advertising, not design.

But this is way off topic!

I'm glad things worked out for the OP.
He came here seeking help and that's exactly what he got.
Cheers to those who assisted and contributed in a positive manner.

I think some others keep "slumming" the Dish forums looking for something to help them deal with the pain. :P

I'm glad it worked out for you but fail to understand your elation. You ordered a install with DISH Network's state of the art receivers, a Hopper and three Joeys. After completion of the install the receivers failed to work properly. The tech was baffled and left you hanging out to dry. Not a very good begining with DISH. After posting on this thread no DIRT rep chimed in with a offer to help. Only the knowledgeable members of this site offered assistance. I agree with Garyunc. No way would I have allowed DirecTV, or any of my service providers to leave after failing to complete a proper install.

My advice exactly. We had another person that this fixed very recently after I suggested it. I've seen this on some other ViP receivers and on my old 6000u years ago... but don't have a Hopper/Joey.

It's a very random thing... but every once in a while I swear these Dish receivers don't actually put out the resolution you set them at... and doing the switch down to 480i/p and saving and then going back to 1080i seems to shock it back to life.

Same thing here on my Panny 54". I went to 720p to see if it was any better, it did not help so I went back to 1080i and there was 1080i like it should be. Dish should fix this so other people don't have to luck up and find a fix on boards like this. I also have a 42" lcd that was ok, so no tricks needed.
