Interesting show. I wish I had a better sense of what criteria the judges are using to score, but I like the concept. The fact the judges have some skin in the game makes it a little more interesting, IMHO.

I'm not a real country fan, so I had no idea how talented a singer Jennifer Nettles is. All I can say is "Wow!" Both her duets last night were keepers, IMHO.

If you missed it, the Duets pilot is airing again Sunday at 8PM EDT on ABC.

I will probably record it but I only really knew who Kelly Clarkson was so I am not overly sure I will stick the series out.

Very strange scoring last night... Robin's second duet was the worst of the night IMHO, but they managed to make it to #3? :eek2:

Jennifer's duets should have been #1 & #2 in my mind last night...

You should check out Jennifer's song with Bon Jovi ("Who Says You Can't Go Home") and the episode of Sugarland/Bon Jovi on "Crossroads" should they ever repeat that! :)

Mrs HDTVFan had been looking forward to this one...and already asked me to add it as a series link.

After she saw the first show...she told me "never mind". ;)

Not her best song, but it's outside the Country genre... which is why I picked it over some of her other tunes...

While it doesn't show off her vocals as much, you should check out "Baby Girl" and the video to "Stuck On You"... especially if you're a "Chuck" fan as the video features "Captain Awesome" in it...

Strange...

My only issue with it was the weird voting results.

That...and staying power with this format. The show drags. No doubt there are some talented singers.

I didn't really have a problem with the pacing... for a first episode.

I do question whether there will be a second season though... that's alright, I'll just enjoy this one...

We watched. My wife said to move the timer from "Both" to "Henry". That's her way of saying she didn't like it. The music seems to be geared to the younger set, so I might or might not be able to get into it. Pretty sure that episode 2 will make up my mind.

The voting method is interesting, though.

Last week's theme was music from the artists' songbook, this week's theme will be "classic duets."

I doubt they will ever move into Lawrence Welk territory... ;):P

Deleted Timer. I don't recommend it unless you're 15 and under.
