THR22- On Demand: confirms download, but doesn't

I've searched and read through a bunch of On Demand threads, and only one came close to this issue, but still doesn't describe the issue I face.

(I'm also short on patience. DTV has been messing with me, turning off my HD package for no reason twice in the past two weeks. It was off last night again so I'm feeling pretty raw as I've been trying to record programs I missed since they messed up my service.)

I'm trying to download an On Demand version of an HBO show. I have HBO, and I can see HBO when I tune in the channels.

I find the program, select the On Demand episode I want, press whatever I'm supposed to press, and it tells me that it has added it to my Download Manager. However, when I look at the Download Manager, it is empty. When I go back to the show listing, it doesn't show that it is recording. It is telling me that I can, but then forgets it as soon as I click away.

Anyone seen anything like this?

I just reset my receiver yesterday, by the way.

Perhaps such request giving no revenue for them ? If it happen with $$ item, I'm pretty sure they would respond.

I haven't yet contacted their support organization. I'm so fed up with how the last two times I've contacted them, they messed up my account (and put me in the situation where I needed to On Demand something I'd otherwise have simply recorded).

What I wondered is if anyone has had similar problems, and confirming that I should be able to use On Demand on the THR22.

I have this problem and in the past I have downloaded on demand programs on this unit now all the sudden nothing. I try to download a program it shows in the queue and then disappears.

Yep this happens to me too. Sometimes they download, sometimes I need to retry a few times. If you look in the history it will show there was a problem downloading it, or show that it was cancelled. Apparently this is another THR22 issue!

It is...with certain programs. But not all. Occasionally you will get the nag "This program was not downloaded onto this DVR because it was not found".

Yet the program is listed on DirecTV on Demand, and my regular DirecTV receivers download it just fine. Hopefully someone will find a way to get it fixed.

Don't count on it! I wish D* would let us swap these out with HR2xs if we're not satisfied. I'm probably just going to buy another R22 from Solid Signal and put the THR22 out of service for a bit. Anyone in the market for the elusive owned THR22? J/K

I am keeping my tivo but seems suspicious that I have no trouble downloading dtv cinema movies.
