Perhaps...

It had the old one still the other day, but I noticed it was missing from the Android app when I checked to see if Ion was missing a few minutes ago (it wasn't) and noticed the lack of a logo.

Hopefully it won't take as long as "The Hub"... ;)

Same with all but 1 of the Max channels.

I'm still missing about 10 others too...

Good question. I asked the same question a couple months ago re: the new HD channels as well as many others still not available.

And yet I just read a few business articles on how the model works as is and that amazon has taken aim right at Netflix.

Free shipping, etc, attracts so many customers it is amazing. I have a large group of friends who shop almost exclusively at amazon because of Prime.

They should take heed of when Netflix tried to break up services. They lost a huge chunk of customers, many who never can back. And a lot of them (including me) cut back on their plans.

Amazon is not a dumb company.

Oh yeah. Video is just gravy. We joined Prime within months of when it was introduced, whenever that was. Feels like a decade ago, but I wouldn't swear to it.

Anyway, GRAVY.
LR(non-CE): HR44, Mits 65C9; Office/FR (CE): HR22-100 + AM21, Mits 60737 + Mits 3DA1 3D adapter. Spare bedroom (non-CE), HR23. Genie WHDVR, wireless networking (yay!)

Yeah, I've probably read some of the same ones you have. And like you, once I signed up for Prime, my purchases with Amazon shot up.

As you said, Amazon isn't dumb - the last thing they want to do is tick off their customer base and generate a lot of bad press. Raising the price of Prime is one option, but might slow adoption. Separating Prime Instant Video into it's own service with it's own cost is another, but might end up in a Netflix/Quickter scenario. Maybe they follow Hulu's model and add a Instant Video Plus service at an extra charge.

And just to get back on topic - Come on Directv give us a Halloween Treat and turn on H2-HD in October! (I was in Target last night and they had all their Halloween candy out already.)

Hope you're right. Maybe they'll give us the rest of the logos as well.

I would be more concerned about TVLand not being in HD than I would about it not having a logo. As long as the channels are in HD, I can live without logos.

My local CW and MY TV Network are HD, but the guide does not designate them as such nor do the logos, but they are in HD, so I have no complaints.

I assume that this is an RTV affiliate? If so, is it a true HD picture, or a widescreen stretch of an SD picture? The reason I ask, is the possibility of finding an HD feed of RTV on C Band.

"Soon"

Please explain. Are you just guessing?

How does one explain "Soon"?

You might as well ask someone to explain why birds build nests in the spring, why the neighborhood cat hunts squirrels, why water rolls downhill, or why ketchup never flows easily out of the bottle. Why do pretty girls with big breasts wear tight shirts? Why does honey never spoil? Why is Coca-Cola sweet and lemonade bitter? Why does a 17 year old sleep until noon? Why is fire hot, ice cream cold and an orange just right?

Soon is part of the essence that is DirecTV. It is in their DNA, as corporate as a white shirt and tie. Soon is built into every dish, transponder and set top box DirecTV makes. All executives at DirecTV have the middle name Soon. Without Soon, DirecTV could not exist. Without DirecTV, Soon would not have meaning.

Soon is as core to DirecTV's being as a satellite in geosynchronous orbit, as basic to DirecTV as the color blue, as essential to DirecTV as coax cable.

Soon and DirecTV are two sides of a one sided coin.

Does that answer the question?

Explained in one sentence below in my signature. :D
[Disclaimer] The definition of "soon" is based solely on DirecTV's interpretation of the word, and all similarities with dictionary definitions of the word "soon" are purely coincidental and should not be interpreted as a time frame that will come to pass within a reasonable amount of time.

I am the Stig.
