IONHD(305)andDIYHD(230) tomorrow 19 sep 6am. IPhone

Cool. Happy for the folks that wanted ION and were fretting the TEST delay meant it would be snatched away from them entirely just when their hopes had been raised.

I've had ION via OTA for a while now. I haven't found anything I care to watch on it. I'll take DIY however.

You would think with the recent additions, that H2 would be the next HD addition. H2 happens to be my #1 want so this may just be wishful thinking.

Not my cup of tea either, and they are actually the closest broadcast location to me (off by themselves well to the west of all the other locals broadcast farm) and I have an AM21. But for those that wanted/needed it, good for them.

DIYHD will be much loved and watched in this house.

Looking forward to DIYHD, had been #1 on my list previous to the Pac12 launch. Now just hoping D* and Pac12nets can work something out soon. The Cal/USC game may better than expected. Cal played much better than expected last week in Ohio.

My new list would be Pac12 #1 and Universal sports #2.

yes it does..because I've typed 31 (our NY local) for ION because at this precise moment my LIL has a better SD pic than that cr-p thats up on 305..thus I've ignored it..

In fact i'd of never known of ch305 had this never been mentioned. shows you how Im not up on that part of the channel dial ever..

There have been no signs of the NY Ion affiliate's HD signal in testing, so yes, YOUR Ion will stay SD only via DirecTV.

I suspect those who have channel #305 mapped to their local channel number will probably see the new HD feed though. We won't know until tomorrow...

Those with Ion East mapped down to their local channel number... what are you seeing with your DirecTV apps for the local channel number tomorrow?!

...but if the new HD Ion is exactly the same as your LIL Ion schedule wise...why will it matter. You'll just have to type in a different channel number to get the HD version. Unless I'm missing something here...

I think what it will come down to is if your local Ion station is really it's own station with it's own programming schedule and local advertisements, or if it is just a re-broadcast of the exact same stuff airing on the Ion East channel.

If it is just a rebroadcast of the Ion East channel then my guess is your local will get dropped making more room on the spotbeam transponder for other stuff, and they will just remap channel 31 to point to channel 305.

If your local Ion channel is not a rebroadcast of channel 305 then it is more difficult to say, it might stay there as a regular LiL, or maybe not.

Either way I'm going to guess that the 305 HD channel is going to look better than your local SD channel, and way better than the 305 SD channel.
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn’t drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."

DirecTV provides the ACTUAL NY Ion affiliate to his market, so (at least for now), he'll have to either watch channel #305 or view the OTA feed if he wants local commercials.

DirecTV currently only offers ion HD-LiL in two markets, with another market's affiliate in testing. NY is not currently one of them...

Sorry... maybe "SOON"! :)

My local ION has different informercials than 305. We all need more informercials in HD

was just asking..per where ION was listed in the poll (23rd)...found it odd that it jumped the line in front of so many other more noticeable HD wants.
