They're pretty far down my list.

Personally, I'm more looking for channels that has programming I have Series Links set up for (CW DNS, TV Land, BBCA, DIY, Cooking), and than programming that I watch from time to time in SD (LMN, Ion, etc.).

If the *plex channels are added, and they are in the HD Extra package, I'll tune in from time to time, but if they end up in Choice Ultimate or the Starz package, they won't mean a thing to me personally.

~Alan

After doctor who, the only SD series I watch are Hot in Cleveland et al.

MoviePlex, IndiePlex and RetroPlex. Movie channels owned by starz!

Supposedly directv has rights to them now per a press release a while back.

Retro and Indie are available in HD.

Dish does have them. Fios (where I see them) has only SD.

Thank you for the info.

I've seen pics of * SPOILER *, but otherwise, I haven't checked anything out since I haven't seen ANY of season six yet.

I don't think Sarah Jane is on Netflix, is it?

~Alan

Found out that 4 seasons of Sarah Jane are on Amazon Prime. There were five.

I HATED the older series (and a lot more people just started to hate me now as well) when I was a kid, so I started getting to know the villains when the newer series started.

I thought the new series wrote the stories with the Daleks in such a way where they were very easy to understand.

On the other hand, I felt The Master could have been a lot more interesting had I seen more of his story.

So... :whatdidi~Alan

In the classic series Time Lords only had 10 regenerations. Haven't figured out how they have gotten passed that one. The master had used all 10 of his and at one point I thought he was stealing bodies to live.

The daleks and the cybermen were much stronger in the classics. The way the cybermen march around is a joke.

12 regenerations, actually. For 13 doctors. The current doctor is the 11th.

Spoiler

The Master.

Indeed...

I'd LOVE a "Luther" marathon, though... Hopefully one for "The Hour" as well...

With season 2 of the hour coming this fall I think there's a good chance they'll rerun season 1.

I've seen the first couple of seasons of Sarah Jane. It's a fun show, but definitely written for the younger, tween audience. It was sad to hear that Elizabeth Sladen had died. She'd also done a pilot for a spin-off in the 80s with her and K-9 solving mysteries. It's rare, but if you look in the right places you can find it.

As for Doctor Who, along with the Blink episode, the gas mask episode ("are you my mummie?") is a classic. Scary good stuff from season 1.

More likely testing of new balancing of channels for six on a transponder.

None.

I posted earlier. When new tech solved the bandwidth problem, they would add more HD. The new encoders are the new tech. Allows them six on a transponder but probably not linearly. As SR stated earlier, not all channels are equal in bandwidth needs.

This keeps coming up. They used those slots.

They were on D12, transponders 9 & 10, and they weren't being used previously. They now have 12 channels, when they did the re-arrangement shortly afterwards.

BBCA has disappeared from the Android app.

Ditto for Ion East.
