Bright House Networks now has the channel.

Multiple people on the dedicated threads on clublakers.com and lakersground.net are reporting that AT&T U-Verse looks like they are about to add the channel.

Also look at Titan TV's channel guide online:

TWCLAHD
1777
TWCLAHDa
1778
TWCLAESPHD
1779

Link:
http://titantv.com/default.aspx

The Channel is showing up on U-Verse on TitanTV on 1777/1778, I think they are about to add it. I Hope."

I checked on TitanTV and it is indeed on there but the channel is listed as 'TWCLAHD'. But all the shows and times are the same as Sportsnet on TWC. I'm not sure if its an error or not but the channel is slotted right next to Fox Sports Net so the channel location is plausible. I checked Uverse's channel lineup on their website but the channel doesn't show up.

Looks like I may be going back to AT&T U-Verse very soon and canceling D*.AT&T is offering me a $200 gift card to come back to them.I can also get my money back for the TWC cable box since they have a 14 day window where I can get a refund.

Yeah ...

I figured the alleged "carriage agreement" between BHN and TWC is really just "technically speaking," since they're associated with one another anyhow.

And how many subs. does BHN have in the Lakers market anyhow?

Well ... looks like you may not be going to AT&T as it appears the Titan TV listing was some kind of error;

This just in from the LA Times;

AT&T-Fox Sports deal has Time Warner Cable execs shaking their heads

AT&T has struck a deal to carry the regional sports network Fox Sports San Diego, which has the majority of Padres games, on its U-Verse pay-TV service.

You might wonder why this is newsworthy to the folks of Los Angeles. Well, AT&T still hasn't struck a deal to carry Time Warner Cable's SportsNet or the Spanish-language Deportes, the new regional channels launched earlier this week that are the only local outlets to see Lakers games. ATT's U-Verse has about 425,000 subscribers in the Los Angeles area.

That AT&T has wrapped up an agreement for Fox Sports San Diego before SportsNet and Deportes has some Time Warner Cable executives shaking their heads.

Cost clearly isn't an issue. Fox Sports San Diego costs more than $5 per subscriber per month, according to people familiar with the channel. The cost for Time Warner Cable's channels is about $4 per subscriber per-month.

Interestingly, while Time Warner Cable is upset that AT&T hasn't signed on to carry its channels in L.A., it still isn't carrying Fox Sports San Diego. Time Warner Cable had unsuccessfully tried to woo the Padres to be the anchor of a new sports channel there.

Its efforts, though, did force Fox to spend a lot more than it had probably anticipated shelling out to keep the Padres games. That's the main reason the price tag for that channel is so high and out of whack with the subscriber fees for other regional sports networks in bigger markets.

An AT&T spokesman declined to comment on the status of its talks with Time Warner Cable.

AT&T's U-Verse is hardly the biggest fish for Time Warner Cable. DirecTV has over 1.7 million subscribers here and Cox has about 1.2 million.

Lakers fans who are not Time Warner Cable subscribers are probably starting to get antsy, but the regular season is still almost four weeks away. These agreements are usually hammered out at the last minute, when everyone feels like they have a gun to their head.

The early ratings for SportsNet are not bad considering it is only available in Time Warner Cable's 2.3 million homes. On Wednesday, its 11 p.m. telecast of the Lakers 2010 finals win against Boston was the fifth most-watched program in Los Angeles among men 18-34.

And Bakersfield is in the Lakes market area, so they'll get the games.
[Disclaimer] The definition of "soon" is based solely on DirecTV's interpretation of the word, and all similarities with dictionary definitions of the word "soon" are purely coincidental and should not be interpreted as a time frame that will come to pass within a reasonable amount of time.

This may sound harsh, but DirecTV employees should have no business discussing negotiations that involve them. Regardless of which side you sit--whether it's the PAC-12 Network or TWC's Laker Channel--in my eyes it's extremely unprofessional and very telling of their intentions, which can be compromising.

Your boss should put on a leash when it comes to discussing this, whether you openly state you're an employee and don't represent or do so in an undercover manner.

Personally, I hope DirecTV does not carry these channels. Reap what you sow.

He's a bad writer and an even worse reporter. That rate is dependent upon location. Either he didn't know what has been reported multiple times or chose to omit it. He's a homer and it shows.

Excuse me? Who are you talking about and more importantly why exactly are you saying you hope they don't pick up the new Lakers channel? How would that reap what you sow, especially for someone like me, who ain't reaping anything? I want the channel, as of this moment I have zero ways to get it.

Look at his location he's in cow town.

I'm suspecting it's a backhanded comment because he's more than likely a Kings fans and the Lakers in the past have broken their hearts plenty of times

If he wants to go that route.

I'll say I hope Sacramento lose the Kings and they move to Seattle after this season.

What an idiot. Would he compare the price of a Kia to the price of a Rolls Royce. His argument is based on every channel having the same value.

So the option in LA is to visit a Bar? No thanks, i don't drink and i refuse to partake in criminal activities by people who abuse the system and then get away with it. I value MY life and will not subject myself to drunken azzholes either in the bar or outside where i may be a victim of a horrendous accident. Drunks never get hurt, but the victims often get scarred for life by these azzholes.

This forum has degenerated into garbage. Half of the people that post here aren't consumers, that's for sure.

Listen, DirecTV has made their bed, let them sleep in it. If it bothers you that much or it will potentially affect financially, learn your lesson and move on.
