Oh were you in negotiations? Please share how White blinked. I bet it's an intriguing story.

I love how the defenders of the faith jump on me for saying "So Mike White blinked?" That was a question, hence the "?". Obviously, I don't know, I wasn't there and the terms haven't been reported. But this move does go against what we've been hearing come out of White's mouth recently, which is why I posed the question. The important thing for the fans is the channel has been added. Now if only someone would blink on the Pac-12 Network, CSN Houston, CSN NW, and CSN Philly.

Again. Until and unless you hear the terms, you can't say it goes against what he has said. It isn't about defending anyone. It is about pointing out incorrect statements.

Two days ago I decided to not drop DIRECTV and simply buy NBA LP streaming version. I was going to do the old change my IP address trick. So glad I spent $125 less than 24 hours ago.:lol:

Oh well! Thanks DIRECTV for coming through again!

Watching it here in So Cal baby right now!

So for those of us that aren't in the LA area, is this going to cost us anything? If so, it BETTER not be much more than $1 a month.

Ya know I've been down playing this channel for sometime now, but now that I'm watching it on my HR24, and have checked out the program guide, I am frickin' excited! This channel rocks! Kareem statue presentation tomorrow afternoon...clasic games...Life is sweet!

Hope the Pac 12 fans will smile soon too!

Congrats to the Lakers fans. I'm fully expecting the regional sports fee (that I seem to be the only one paying) to go up to $6/mo in feb. Too bad all my favorite regional sports are on the PAC-12 nets. Sigh.

The reason why it is more important for them to be on Direct vs Dish is because most of the bars and restaurants use DirecTV (because of the sports packages). These corporate accounts bring DirecTV and the channel providers some money. Dish is probably the least used TV provider in bars and restaurants.

They needed DIRECTV for the ad dollars for that many eyeballs.

Well its not in the regular package, which may be the big win that DIRECTV was after.... I don't think any of the other providers don't have both in all the same packages do they?

That means instead of paying the expected 3.95 per sub, they may only be paying more like 2 a sub for anyone not also getting the Spanish version. That would be a huge difference.
