Silly question, do you think the Lakers channel picture quality will look better on DIRECTV vs. TWC? I hear cable has dropout issues. I ask because this channel looks fantastic on my 55" Toshiba!

The TWC coverage on the nba channel looked good so any quality problems were in the delivery mechanism. We will see.

I haven't seen it yet except via sling box.

I'd guess yes. Where they not previously if they where on FOX Sports West?

i think pac12net becomes more likely to get picked up now because of basketball season...so far during the football season we've only been missing like 2 games per week due them being only shown on pac12net.....now with the greater amount of bball games on pac12net pressure to have channel increases?

I would say definitely for home games. Fingers crossed that LP will show TWCSN road games. Previous years, Laker road games on KCAL 9 were not shown on LP? Never quite understood that one...

I'm sure they will be. As long as the game is on a Directv channel then it is opened up for league pass subscribers, the only time you're out of luck is if the game is on an OTA channel and Directv can get away with only showing the other teams feed. I watch every single Jazz game on 684-1

That was my thinking too.

Well its not in the regular package, which may be the big win that DIRECTV was after.... I don't think any of the other providers don't have both in all the same packages do they?

That means instead of paying the expected 3.95 per sub, they may only be paying more like 2 a sub for anyone not also getting the Spanish version. That would be a huge difference.

Two days ago I decided to not drop DIRECTV and simply buy NBA LP streaming version. I was going to do the old change my IP address trick. So glad I spent $125 less than 24 hours ago.:lol:

Oh well! Thanks DIRECTV for coming through again!

Watching it here in So Cal baby right now!

I *told* you the universe was just waiting for you to commit somewhere else. . . .

as a diehard Laker fan who lives in DC i am thrilled, got sick and tired of watching the the opponents biased broadcast coverage of the games on League Pass.

Can anyone tell me if the channel is native 720p or 1080i?

1080i
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

SWEET! I'm happy for you SoCal viewers. I might just order NBALP now that the NHL is locked out. Follow Nash too. :D

This channel rocks! Kareem statue presentation tomorrow afternoon...clasic games...Life is sweet!

Thanks for the heads up, I just set this up too.

The picture looks stunning. I feel like a kid on Christmas and I don't even live in CA.
