Good question. I still haven't resolved that redirection issue, I need to focus on it, thus why I was comparing to the spreadsheet.

Well ... something is going on with an apparent emptying out of D10's CONUS channels. At least according to the maps;

Just checked the last 4 domestic TPN Map releases, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, and 10/17

And D10's CONUS channel numbers are 59, 57, 42, and now 25.

Yep, thus my question if the spreadsheet is correct.

Do we think the spreadsheet is correct for D10? or maybe just some data misplaced.

It was a joke.

Seems to me we have not displaced so many channels.

Remember ? You (and anyone who is posting here and has his H/HR connected to his home network) always could ask your DVR (via SHEF cmd83) where is particular channel transmitting.

Yep P., I understand.

Wish I knew how to do that SHEF stuff, and I've not yet solved the redirection issue with my pulling of the data. Thanks for your previous info.

Thus trying to understand if you think that the latest spreadsheet is correct for D10?

Even with my data, which doesn't have the redirection issue fixed yet, it sure looks like there is no longer anything important on D10 as of today. Yes, a few channels here and there, but nothing hugely popular.

They've been moving stuff almost daily.

You should invest a few minutes of your free time for the cmd83; it would be pretty easy for you as you wrote parsing/comparing program for process raw data.
It was discuss in great details recently (here ?).

Would love to.

What is SHEF cmd83?

Does that involve USB attaching to receiver, or is there some IP protocol?

So you think that the gct spreadsheet from 10/17 is correct? and it's not just a spreadsheet issue?

It only shows the following HD CONUS channels on D10.

Just noticed that the totals tab is old. I had looked at it quickly and thought it was current, and the detailed data tabs might be wrong, but now that I look at it more closely it's last update was 9/26.

But even that's strange since as I posted, the 9/26 map is showing only 59 CONUS channels for D10, whereas the 10/17 channel count tab is listing it at 83.

Thank you!

And of note, dielray gave the IP syntax for the multituner ("MT") commands listed in the SHEF here.

Sixto,

I am very comfortable that the TPN Map is accurate. A lot of time and work has gone into that assurance. I will update the 'Channel Count' tab of the Excel spreadsheet tonight - I'll post a note when that is accomplished.

Here is a key for you: as suggested, use the IP interface to your DVR - ANY DVR (the HR34 works fastest). As long as your DVR is on your home IP Network, go into your favorite browser and enter:

http://<ipaddr>:8080/tv/tune?major=<n>&minor=65535

to set the DVR to a given channel,
where (decimal channel number <n>) and
where <ipaddr> is the IP address of your DVR

http://<ipaddr>:8080/serial/processCommand?cmd=FA83

to read the various parameters of that channel. See the references provided in this thread for interpretation of the response data, typically in Hex.

That is all there is too it. The responses from the DVR already include the influence of any redirection. You can validate each and any entry in the TPN Map. Do this pair of commands 9,000 times and you can validate a full TPN Map. One caveat - using this method, you can only get results for those channels you can receive. You won't be able to check out our San Diego locals from your home.
