I'm surprised that they're not also rebranding the channel. There were rumors about this a few years ago that involved both a takeover of the website and a rebranding of both.

They are rebranding. The article says the channel will become "NBC News".

I just see the site. Microsoft sold their stake in the channel several years ago. At least Soledad and Dev Null moved on to bigger things.
