My HD DVR recently stop working after a storm. We found that the tv still worked but it would not show picture. After resetting DVR, turning it on and off, unplugging it I then called Directtv. The rep was very nice and took me thru some steps. I tried all outputs w/ no success and then she had me get a good HDMI cable from my sons receiver that I knew worked and put it in my receiver and still no picture. She told me that it is definitly the HDMI in the receiver that is not working. So she asked if I had any audio video cable and I got them and put them on and the tv worked w/no HD of course. She then told me that she is going to send me out HD component cords that give the same effect of the HDM1. I got the cords and hooked them up and I am not impressed w/them. My tv seems darker and not bright and sharp anymore. Do you think I should call and have them replace my receiver?:nono2:
Thank You
