And I can't even get the $10 HD credit back on my account that I was told I was entitled to as a customer. Been with them 14 years, auto pay, never bitched or whined about getting or not getting a discount or freebies, paid for all my equipment, protection plan, HD extra package . . .
Either someone is full of it, or Directv doesn't know what they are doing. Tough call to figure that one out.
I think it's a little of both. I, like you am a fairly long time customer (8 years), and in most cases have never gotten half of what some of the posters on here claim they get.
I think there's more people on here working for DTV than they care to admit to.
I also have the premier package with MLB EI and a few other extras, I have never threatened to cancel, in fact I am probably being too nice when I call.
I have been advised by posters on here to actually lie to DTV when I had certain issues with HD DVR's, but it's just not in my nature to do so.
All in all, I would have to say that while the CSR's were very nice, I was usually not satisfied with their conclusions.
I also get everything in writing, as a few years back, a CSR actually lied to me and it was my word against his. So now, any thing they offer is in writing or they can keep it.
