I don't know when this happened... I usually just tune to the channel and leave it there because I know 147 is for basketball and 148 is for soccer...

But this morning I noticed that the EPG data is now backwards. Channel 147 shows "Soccer" while 148 shows "Basketball"... but the channels themselves are broadcasting correct content.

Just the EPG is backwards.

Either they fixed it or something strange is going on ... my receiver is correct.

Was going to ask if you are eastern or western arc in case it was an arc thing... but I just checked and mine is correct now too.

I don't know when it got fixed... I did just force an EPG update though as a result of having everything unplugged to reconfigure some things and after the checkswitch and new guide download I see the data is correct.

So... they may have fixed it at some point after my receiver last updated the EPG and before I just now had a forced update.

I'll close the thread if nobody else pipes up with a problem this evening.

These particular channels on 72.7 use the same EPG as the channels on 129.
(DISH has linked EPGs where one EPG can serve multiple channels.)

I forgot to mention... that once the data was fixed, I also noticed they have better data. Before it was just long blocks of time with a listing for all the games without regard to times of those games.

Now the blocks are shorter and specifically list each scheduled game... so now you can tune in when you want or even DVR the desired game. I've been trying to catch US men and women basketball games when I remember.

Since nobody else complained, either it was fixed in short order OR I had a unique glitch. Either way, problem solved and thread closed.

Ok, re-opening my thread again because the data is reversed again today!

OBBL is listing Soccer EPG info, while OSOC is listing the Basketball EPG.

I have multiple receivers and this is true on all of them.

It was correct for nearly 24 hours, but now back to backwards.

Surely I'm not the only one seeing this? I can't think of a receiver issue that would affect different models with the same problem.

147 guide shows soccer, 148 guide shows basketball for me. So yes, reversed. It would have been more fun to have you think you are the only one though.... :P

Thank you! :)

I would love to be that special ;)

But it is glad to see confirmation. The other day it happened and fixed itself while most people probably were at work... I was thinking more people would notice on a weekend day once people started waking up and tuning in.

Imagine the surprise of anyone with a receiver that sets a Dish Pass timer for basketball who gets a random section of a soccer match instead!

BTW: No fix yet ... unlike Friday where DISH fixed it rather quickly after Stewart noticed.

I can only think now that something is goofed with the Tribune-supplied data, and when it happened on Friday there was someone at Dish on duty that noticed and manually corrected it... but that guy (or gal) is home this weekend and will not be back to notice again on Monday.

All a guess of course... but it does seem like this kind of glitch on a weekend gets ignored until after the weekend.

edit: Checked Zap2it and they have the info correct... so that might shoot down my "it's Tribune's fault" theory.

I see correct info now for the next few hours... but later tonight and going forward the info is still reversed. Maybe that will require the overnight update to fix OR putting my receiver in standby for a bit.

Still, it looks like someone is trying to do something with the data.

Don't know if anyone noticed, bit on Dish on Demand if you look under Browse by Network, there is an Olympic network. It's great because you can watch just a single event. For instance, I watched the GOld medal women's trampoline exercise yesterday. Only 3 minuts and I didn't have to search 24 hours worth of stuff.
