Trivial curiosity... at the beginning of some programs, I've been seeing "AD )))" or "D )))" and have no idea what they mean. Any clues?

Audio Description - for people who are blind or have low vision. In some TV programs or DVDs, it is a separate audio track that describes what is happening on the screen for those who cannot see it.
