I am planning on dropping Dish. I have an external hard drive filled with HD TCM stuff I recorded from Dish.
Is there any way to view this material after I drop Dish?

Nope, you'll have to use a capture card or device to "archive" the shows.

EHD's will only work with receivers on your account so you would have to do it before you cancel.

You may want to drop down to the $14.99/month Welcome Pack (with locals in HD if available in your area along with other channels like History, TBS, Comedy Central, The Hub, Hallmark, Boomerang, etc.) before dropping Dish to give you time to transfer your recordings or if you want to watch your recordings without dropping Dish. Just an option or idea...
